Hello everyone! I’m Uchizono from the Production Engineering Section.

Today, I’d like to introduce our team here at OKUDAYA GIKEN. We are the “unsung heroes” working behind the scenes to support product quality and production efficiency in close cooperation with the factory floor.

We are a small but elite team of four: one manager, two inspectors, and one specialist for production engineering and quality control. Though small in number, we are a reliable backbone that keeps our manufacturing site running strong.

Our inspection team handles in-process checks for CP products and final inspections for all other items. To ensure our customers’ peace of mind, we conduct 100% inspections with no detail overlooked.

To uphold “Okudaya Quality,” we sometimes have to be firm with our colleagues. It’s all for the sake of maintaining quality, and this sincere commitment is what earns us our customers’ trust.

Meanwhile, our Production Engineering & QC specialist covers a wide range of duties across both fields.

In Production Engineering, they ensure stable and efficient operations through routine maintenance, repairs, and the custom design of jigs and equipment based on onsite needs. In Quality Control, they investigate product defects through customer feedback and coordinate with relevant departments to drive process and quality improvements.

These efforts extend globally. We hold monthly remote quality meetings with our overseas group companies, Changzhou OPK (China) and OIC (Malaysia). By sharing quality data and strengthening ties across borders, we aim to improve quality throughout the entire company.

For both inspection and quality control, the most important skill is the “ability to notice change.” By staying alert to even the slightest irregularities in our products and equipment, we prevent issues before they happen and find new ways to improve.

As a bridge between technology, the factory floor, and our customers, we will continue to embrace the challenge of creating better products and a superior manufacturing environment.
