This time, we will introduce another “place to relax” located on the outdoor premises of Okudaya Giken – the green space “OKUDAYA GARDEN icoi”.
This is not just a garden space.
It is an inspiring place where nature, people, and the company’s philosophy and future come together in a beautiful combination.

Expressing “Thank you”

The background to the creation of this space was the desire to “value the connections between people more” and “create a place where employees can feel at ease and relax.” Much of the interior was handcrafted by employees. Even the bar counter is a warm piece that was lovingly crafted. The attention to detail in the interior creates a gentle atmosphere where everyone can feel at ease.

The concept is “creating an environment that leads to the future”

icoi aims to create an environment that will connect to the future.
It is a place that improves employees’ quality of life, contributes to the local landscape, and gently communicates the company’s values ​​to society.
The garden was carefully built up by project members selected from among the employees,
under the supervision of POT (Power of Tackle LLC) representative Atsushi Enoki, who is also an arborist, based on the three pillars of “concept work,” “environment,” and “design.”
Every plant and every bench is imbued with a “spirit of cherishing harmony” and “hopes for the future.”

Enjoy nature through the seasons with all five senses

The garden is decorated with a variety of rose family plants that allow you to experience the changing seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter, and offers a different look every time you visit.
Since the rose family has the characteristic of helping other roses pollinate, the design also conveys the message of “supporting each other’s growth.”
The chirping of birds, the scent of the breeze, the changing colors of green with the seasons–
It is a space where you can experience nature with all five senses and truly “reset your mind.”
In the seating area, which emphasizes a Japanese atmosphere, you can sit back and chat with nature.
It is also a comfortable place where employees can communicate with each other and be themselves.

The symbol is the Somei-Yoshino cherry tree, which the founder loved.

A single cherry tree stands majestically at the entrance to the garden – a Somei-Yoshino, beloved by the founder.
This cherry tree still quietly but powerfully speaks to us of Okudaya Giken’s corporate philosophy:
“Harmony shapes character, and research is the foundation of a company’s development.”
In the spring, employees gather under the cherry blossoms in full bloom with smiles on their faces, chatting and taking photos together, and it’s like a promise for the future.
The seating area, which emphasizes a Japanese atmosphere, allows employees to sit back and chat naturally.
It’s a comfortable place where employees can communicate with each other naturally.

Okudaya Giken is currently celebrating its 90th anniversary.
This message expresses the strong aspirations of each and every employee and all of our stakeholders as we look toward our upcoming 100th anniversary.

The blue of the grass that spreads across the garden, the soft pink of the cherry blossoms, and the light filtering through the shade of the trees.
All of these things seem to gently embrace my past journey and my dreams for the future.

“OKUDAYA GARDEN icoi” is a space that embodies the ideas of Okudaya Giken: gathering, talking, cultivating harmony, and having fun while protecting the environment.
Anyone who comes here can become just a little kinder.
This garden, along with the cherry blossoms, will continue to connect people’s hearts.
And we hope that on the day of our 100th anniversary, smiles will still be blooming in this place.
