Department Introduction Article: Manufacturing Section 1, CP & Frame Team

To Begin With
Although I am a member of the CP & Frame Team myself, in writing this article, I intentionally tried to look at our team from an objective, bird’s-eye perspective. What I felt about the CP & Frame Team can be summed up in one phrase: {A Gathering Place for Craftsmen}.
Our core philosophy is always about quality and efficiency. In manufacturing, producing the actual product is everything. We invest our wisdom, time, and effort to create high-quality products in large quantities.
It is a wonderful workplace driven by a mindset that embodies the true artisan spirit.
Now, let me introduce the CP & Frame Team.

What is the CP & Frame Team?
This department is primarily responsible for assembling standard models of OPK’s flagship product, the Catch Pallet Truck (CP).
The majority of CPs, which account for approximately 30% of our total sales, are produced right here.

Characteristics of the CP & Frame Team
Almost every member is a versatile player capable of performing nearly all tasks. I believe one of our defining features is the system we’ve built: if a task falls behind, members from other main processes can step in to support each other. We engage in proactive, forward-looking production, which even allows us to rush to the aid of other departments when needed. While fundamentally standing on the front lines of manufacturing our flagship products, we can also act as unsung heroes—the strong foundation supporting production in other departments when the time calls for it.
This isn’t something that just happened by chance. It is the undeniable result of the daily, deliberate efforts of our craftsmen who actively make it happen and ensure they are able to do so.

Main Operations

Crank Welding
Using three welding machines, our craftsmen carefully manufacture each piece one by one, ensuring the inner width and center dimensions are almost perfectly accurate.
By measuring the dimensions of every single piece, we confidently produce over 300 cranks each month.

↑ Foreman S is primarily in charge of crank welding. With solid skills honed through years of experience and extensive knowledge, he consistently produces high-quality cranks.

Rod Welding
Using welding jigs, we manually weld each piece one by one. Even though these parts are hidden from view, we remain deeply committed to both their appearance and quality, producing approximately 600 rods every month.

↑ Mr. I is primarily in charge of rod welding. He is committed to delivering not only high-quality welds but also an impressive production speed.

Arm Assembly
At first glance, it seems like a simple and straightforward task—just attaching the load wheels and rods to the arms.
However, it requires constant vigilance against minute defects, making it surprisingly complex. Furthermore, since we must maintain a high production volume, it is actually a highly demanding job.e, it is actually a highly demanding job.

Frame Assembly
This is the primary operation of the CP & Frame Team, where all the manufactured parts are assembled onto the frame.
If you just watch the process, it might look like a simple task of merely attaching parts. However, it involves numerous detailed techniques.
It also contains hidden challenges you wouldn’t realize unless someone pointed them out, and it is the process where our craftsmen’s dedication to quality is most apparent.
Every month, we confidently send out about 250 CP units, all crafted with strict adherence to quality.

↑ Mr. U is primarily in charge of frame assembly. He carefully carries out the manufacturing process while keeping a watchful eye on various details, such as checking the welds and ensuring no parts are missing.

Painted Frame Finishing
This is the process of attaching the pump to the manufactured and painted CPs to complete the product. Since it is the final step before packaging, it is a highly demanding task that requires utmost care and meticulous attention to detail.

↑ Mr. H is primarily in charge of CP finishing. Leveraging his extensive knowledge of cylinders, he carefully inspects not only the frames but also the pumps during the installation process.

In addition to these, there are many other operations. Every day, as we carry out a wide variety of tasks, we continue to manufacture CPs with an unwavering commitment to quality.
