Today, I would like to briefly introduce some of the environmental initiatives that OKUDAYA GIKEN is working on.

Manufacturing Powered by 100% Renewable Energy

Aiming for manufacturing powered by 100% renewable energy, we introduced the corporate PPA “DayZpower” in 2023 with the support of Yamazen Corporation and Daigas Energy Co., Ltd.

By also introducing “D-Green RE100” from Osaka Gas Co., Ltd., all the electricity used at the head office factory is now 100% renewable energy.
※”D-Green RE100″ refers to electricity generated from renewable energy sources that do not include thermal or nuclear power, combined with Non-Fossil Certificates (designated renewable energy) to make it effectively 100% renewable energy.

Promoting the Realization of Carbon Neutrality

To play the role required in a carbon-neutral society, をくだ屋技研 has begun taking action, with an eye toward acquiring SBT certification.
We are making slow but steady preparations, aiming for globally recognized carbon neutrality—in other words, planet-friendly manufacturing.

About Powder Coating

With the opening of our new factory in 2015, we changed our coating method from solvent coating to powder coating.

A key characteristic of powder coating is its ability to form a strong coating film with flexibility that minimizes cracking and peeling, which is expected to improve product performance.
Furthermore, as an environmental consideration, it emits almost no VOCs (volatile organic compounds), which are a cause of environmental pollution.
It is an eco-friendly coating method because it generates fewer CO2 emissions during the work process and allows the coating material to be reused.

About the Pastel Series

The Pastel Series is a new line of eco-friendly material handling equipment, made possible through the technical support of our partner companies.

The first product launched in the Pastel Series was the “Eco-Friendly Catch Pallet Truck.”
It is the world’s first material handling equipment to use “Enewater” instead of hydraulic oil.

“Enewater” is a control fluid with a composition of approximately 70% water, which significantly reduces environmental impact.
It is an eco-friendly and sustainable product that generates low CO2 emissions from manufacturing to disposal and does not pollute water, soil, or the atmosphere.

As described above, we have briefly introduced some of the environmental initiatives that Okudaya Giken is working on.

Aiming for sustainable manufacturing that can mutually coexist and prosper with the environment, Okudaya Giken will continue to fulfill its role as a manufacturer.
